Aeolian Skinner Opus 1304
|
|
In this project we rebuilt, and modernized the
Console; using a Matters Multiplexing Computer. The new Draw Knobs are
by Harris
Precision Products. The new coupler rail was also custom made by Harris. We elected to retain the original Aeolian Skinner ivory
draw knobs. We even had new ivory knobs made to match the rest. We also refurbished the Ivory Keyboards so they look
and work like new.
The console features 99 memory levels, Full MIDI Capability, Internal Play Back,
Manual Interchange and a Piston Sequencer. One problem that we eliminated was the incorporation of
the Antiphonal Division into the coupling, and combination action.
Previously the organist had to tie up the Choir in order to use this
division.
We also rebuilt the original Swell Main Chest, and offsets. We also recovered the Swell Bellows. The large Main Static regulator in the Basement was rebuilt also. The Organ also received new Electrical, and much needed Lighting. All wind chest wiring was also replaced. In every Project that we do we strive to find a way to tonally enhance the organ. After all the ones that actually hear the organ are the ones most likely paying for the project. Careful Tonal Finishing was conducted by Steuart Goodwin. We also added three new pipe ranks. A large scale Murray Harris Open Diapason, A French Style Open Flute in the Great. In the Choir we added an Unenclosed Bombarde useful for Weddings. There was also opportunities to unify the Swell Fagotto into the Great. Please enjoy some of the sound excerpts attached on this page. |
